Perhaps it moves 1,000,000 pounds of earth in a 12 hour shift, or maybe more. The premise of the factoid is that 3600 gallons of fuel are burned a day to make a small amount of batteries. Is it factually wrong?

Btw, the speaker implies, the listener infers.

Fuel costs money and batteries also cost money.  If it really takes that much fuel to make that few batteries, you would see a similar factor when you compare the costs of the two items.

The internet says replacement Tesla batteries cost from $12k to $20k.
With 47 years of oil left, the internal combustion engine is doomed. Cutting oil used for road transportation by half increases the oil reserve to about 75 years. Cutting oil for road transport completely doubles the oil reserve.

And if anyone thinks Tesla will dominate the electric car industry, they are in for a huge shock.

And wholesale rates on diesel fuel are about $4/gallon.  We can infer from this that the amount of fuel used to make new batteries for one Tesla must be less than 3,000 gallons.  Probably a lot less.  Probably most of the costs to make the batteries are in other inputs.
Gas went up .15/gallon from this morning in my area. I suppose that is because the EU proposed a total ban on Russian oil imports. Luckily I filled my truck before that happened.

Call me a conspiracy theorist if you want but....... It seems that the actions of the Federal Government are repeating themselves trying to achieve the same desired outcome today as they tried to achieve back then......

When you put all the pieces together if you are not questioning what is going on you are brainwashed and/or brain dead.
The shortage of baby formula alone makes you wonder. Throw in Bidet's government "stepping in to help" and yeah.... I don't subscribe to conspiracy theories and I don't believe in coincidence but a lot of things make me wonder.

I don't think there's any conspiracy, just gross incompetence throughout the administration from the top down.

PS  If the "typo" was intentional, well done and I owe you a +1.

Oh look, another Gore-level Doomsday prediction fail

Good opportunity here to excavate the landfills, oceans, etc for plastics to mitigate an oil shortage. It's not going to be a cheap process tho, so it most likely won't happen.
Seeing some people posting about diesel fuel shortages on the east coast coming soon.

If that really happens, then shortages may become mainstream. It's going to get bad if trucks can't move.

Did you blame Trump for the shortages that occurred when he was President?
