I am a lifelong Democrat. I have lived through/with six Republican presidents: Nixon, Ford, Reagan, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush and Trump.

With all of the prior Republican presidents, I never had to watch the news throughout the day, but that all changed with the Trump presidency. Every day, I turned on the news to see what “craziness” might have happened over the night or during the day. Sadly this took my focus off my family, friends and my daily life.

The rest of the letter is in the link. Anything in the news that causes you to take your focus off of your family, friends and daily life should make you consider your priorities. Find another way to stay informed. Nothing in the news is worth trading in your mental health or your friends and family. If you choose to make this your focus then that's on you, not on the news.

That person is clearly insane.

The left has gone off the deep end. Not the right.

She's not blaming the news.  She's blaming this one guy who wakes up most days with the goal of dominating the news cycle.

My point went right over your head.
Instead of electric cars, I think we should bring back the electric chair. It would solve more problems.

Well, Trump lives in his head so it was more like a direct hit.

He actually, is your point, or an excellent example thereof.  A true believer, unquestioningly absorbing and regurgitating whatever he is spoon-fed by the leftist media.  Consumed by his TDS, he remains oblivious to reality, while Biden & Co. drive the country over a cliff.

Joe Rogan reveals when he thinks the Democratic Party will kick Biden to the curb
'I feel like right around May they're going to pull him,' Rogan argued

Podcaster Joe Rogan speculated with comedian Andrew Schulz Saturday about when he thinks the Democratic Party will replace President Biden on their presidential ticket.

Her point is that the lady should have more self control to not let the news affect her state of mind, regardless of what the news is.  I disagree with her point.  Drastic news like 9/11 for instance should cause us to feel urgency. Disengaging from current events a little bit might be a good idea for some, but disengaging completely is a bad idea for everyone.
So my point is the news wouldn't be as hard for her to handle if Trump wasn't deliberately and egotistically manipulating it.
And anyhow I've never really shared my emotional state here.  My writing here is either direct statements of fact or Socratic type questions, none of which has anything to do with my emotional state.  You guys trigger me much more than Trump does, but it doesn't change what I say.
The fact that I stick around and use so many words is just stubbornness, not distress.

I watched that interview.  The girl states she's not voting for Biden because he's not doing enough to stop the genocide.  When asked what Trump would do as President, she stated that he'd likely flatten out the Gaza Strip and turn it into a golf course so she's currently abstaining from voting.   As such, I have to ask you, who do you think Trump would contract to design the potential golf course in 2025?
