I made this account on the old message board just for jags related topics.
But I'd like to understand American politics a little bit more.
I'm from Central Europe and we have several major problems ourselves but I don' get why neither dems nor reps manage to get an acceptable candidate which voters from the other party at least can consider to vote?
If I were US American I'd probably would vote Trump but I don't think he is a good politician or "leader" at all. As an outsider I can't understand why anyone would vote for Biden either. And that is something I don't get... Don't the Dems have any other somehow reasonable candidate? How do they think they could win another selection with him? Again, Trump is not the best candidate either in my opinion and I hope I don't offend anyone (neither Biden nor Trump voters) but at least he has a noticeable effect on global politics, whether intentional or not.
I think I know how the selection process for the respective candidate works but I just don't get those two candidates.
Again, please don't feel offended, I'm European and I don't have much knowledge about American politics.
Have a nice day everyone
American politics in easy to understand terms as explained by George Carlin.........

I watched the debate and honestly I don't understand why anyone would defend or vote Joe Biden. Seriously...
If I would be American I would definitely vote Trump of those two.
I'm more right wing than left wing so the arguments have to be less convincing but that will be a landslide imo.
Also what a lot of talking heads in Europe mention is that with Trump you'll lose a global partner. In my opinion that will strengthen Europe. I don't know if thats what Trump wants or not but as a European we have to do something... doesn't matter if its migration, business or technologies. With no change in American global policies Europe would not lift their fat [BLEEP]... (at the risk of another global power that is).
But for the future I hope you'll have two reasonable candidates and not between the devil and the deep blue sea (google translate, I don't know).

You're going to want all the migrants you can get once it's time to send young men to fight in Latvia or Romania...

I don't think migrants will want to come to Europe if they have to fight here... Maybe that's the solution...
But I'm sorry. I can't make jokes on war right now. Although I'm not Ukrainian, the invasion takes place approx. 1000km away.
Not that funny at all.

Are you Romanian? I have a friend over there now. She's supposed to be back this weekend I believe. My wife and her family are from Bosnia. My father-in-law just went back over there last week to care for his mother.
It's been rough historically in the Eastern Block. I feel bad for the majority of your countries. Stuck in between NATO and the West and then the Beasts from the East. I know the family from Romania said that some of the things they're seeing here now in the states were similar to how communism took over and ruined their country.
That's why they fled. They're already thinking about getting out of here from the states before it's too far gone.

BREAKING: SCOTUS has overturned the DOJ's use of the Enron-era obstruction of an official proceeding in J6 cases, 1512©(2). The Court says 1512 was not used lawfully when prosecuting President Donald Trump and 350+ J6ers. A massive win for restoring true justice in this country.

The opinion in Fishcer v United States does not say if that statute applies to Trump's case. Trump's behavior was different than Fischer's, obviously.
Specifically, the justices ruled that "obstruction of an official proceeding had to involve evidence tampering or a similar crime. Fischer did not attempt to introduce fake electoral votes into the official proceeding that day. Trump did.

I'm Austrian. Fortunately I have a few hundred kilometers more to the frontline than Romania, Poland, Slovakia, etc. so you don't have to feel bad, at least not for me.
Your wifes family is fine. Bosnia is surrounded by NATO members and not even Putin is stupid enough to make a move right now.
But we are preparing. And that's something I wouldn't have even thought of 10 years ago.

From your article:
Quote:"the court holds that to prove a violation of the law, the government must show that the defendant impaired the availability or integrity for use in an official proceeding of records, documents, objects, or other things used in an official proceeding, or attempted to do so.
“To prove a violation of Section 1512©(2), the Government must establish that the defendant impaired the availability or integrity for use in an official proceeding of rec-ords, documents, objects, or as we earlier explained, other things used in the proceeding, or attempted to do so."
One of the other counts against Trump is defrauding the US by presenting false electoral votes. Smith already intends to prove that Trump attempted to impair the integrity of the records that would be used in the official proceeding.

I went on one cruise. 3 days out of Jacksonville on Carnival, to Key West and Nassau. With the wife and another couple. One of the most boring things I've ever done.
