As soon as I saw what was happening on live stream, I thought to myself, "these guys want the national guard to stand down or switch sides." I could think of no other reason why they would have stormed the building. I still can't think of one. It has nothing to do with what I might be reading on the internet.
It doesn't matter if their plan was to just talk to the vice president, talk to pelosi, or threaten either of them with violence, or what. They knew that they would not get to do any of that unless the guys with guns stood down or switched sides.

Once again the feds were in the group and encouraging them to commit crimes. They also set them up by doing nothing to antifa. It's been rumored/known for a while.
Why is it that the feds are only going after the right wing groups while the left groups are burning and destroying things?

Jan 6 was an insurrection in the same way that deliberately paying your federal income taxes a day late is an insurrection.
