I'm pro-choice and a Christian (yes an oxymoron to most) and this is wrong on so many levels. Yes, they broke one of the prohibited rules in the FACE Act, they blocked access to the clinic, but they have every right to protest otherwise. Out of all the prohibited and not prohibited actions listed these protestors only did one of the prohibited as far as I can tell. They blocked people from entering the clinic. Singing hymns is not in the prohibited column. Even if they did try to talk them out of going in, unless they're threats or intimidation it's not prohibited. By the sentencing you'd think these folks did antifa and blm-level protesting.

Here is the info on the Act.

Prohibits the following three things: (1) the use of physical force, threat of physical force, or physical obstruction to intentionally injure, intimidate, interfere with or attempt to injure, intimidate or interfere with any person who is obtaining an abortion, (2) the use of physical force, threat of physical force, or physical obstruction to intentionally injure, intimidate, interfere with or attempt to injure, intimidate or interfere with any person who is exercising or trying to exercise their First Amendment right of religious freedom at a place of religious worship, (3) the intentional damage or destruction of a reproductive health care facility or a place of worship.[1][2]

The following behaviors have especially to do with reproductive health care clinics but can also be applied to places of worship:[20][18]

Blocking a person’s access to the entrance of a facility
Impairing cars from entering and/or exiting a facility
Physically stopping people as they are trying to walk toward an entrance or through a parking lot
Making it difficult or dangerous to get in and/or out of a facility
Trespassing on the property of a facility
Committing any act of violence on a clinic employee, escort or patient
Vandalism
Threats of violence
Stalking a clinic employee or reproductive health care provider
Arson or threats of arson
Bombings or bomb threats
Intimidation
Not prohibited
The following behaviors are not prohibited because they are protected under the First Amendment right to free speech:[20][18]

Protesting outside of clinics
Distributing literature
Carrying signs
Shouting (as long as no threats are made)
Singing hymns
Counseling

The penalties listed do not match what is being done to these people. Nowhere is a 10.5 year prison sentence listed.

The criminal penalties for violating FACE vary according to the severity of the offense and the defendant's prior record of similar violations.[20] A first-time offender can be sentenced to a maximum of one year in prison and fined at most $100,000. For a second violation, the violator may be imprisoned for up to three years and fined at most $250,000. However, a strictly non-violent offense is punishable with up to six months in prison and up to $10,000 in fines for a first offense, and up to 18 months in prison and up to $25,000 in fines for subsequent offenses. If the offense causes injury to a person, the maximum sentence is 10 years, regardless of whether or not it is a first offense, and any offense that results in death is punishable with up to life in prison.[20] These are maximum sentences; lesser penalties are permitted at the judge's discretion.[20]

Meanwhile you can block a street or highway and not even be arrested. Maybe they should change approaches and stand in the road.

The legal system is dead, the Punisher is going to be real soon.

It's amusing to me how the left always treats abortion as their religion, even going so far as to equate the two in their unconstitutional laws.

In a vacuum, this example is hilarious and sounds like it was taken from a comedy movie about a boy who is straight but wants to get closer to his love interest and this is the cockamamie scheme he comes up with.

As a small piece of the broader culture war, however, it's incredibly sad that we even have to defend this front from this kind of BS.

"Harris came across Bidens diary, tax records, family photographs and her cellphone in September 2020, during a stay at a home in Delray Beach, Fla., where Joe Biden’s daughter had previously been living.

DOJ states “a sentence involving no period of incarceration would be wholly insufficient to reflect the gravity of the defendants conduct.”

It was found UNDER A MATTRESS, AFTER BIDEN MOVED OUT!

This entire dysfunctional family leaves their crap everywhere, then complain when it’s found - cause it’s ALL REAL!"

I guess ole Pedo/Incest Joe got pissed that his reputation would be destroyed lololol
