I don't get why people resist arrest. That makes things worse by adding another charge(s) to your arrest. Just go with the cop, nobody gets hurt and you likely just have one charge against you for trespassing or whatever it would be considered.
If I were the parent of a college kid who wanted to attend a protest march/rally and I was paying for that kid's education, that kid had better be sitting in class during class hours. Protest on your own time, not on my dime. And if they were justifiably arrested they'd have to figure out how to get out of jail. Actions have consequences.

Genocide does not just mean killing people. Israel is obliterating Gaza. So far more than 60% of buildings have been destroyed. Even if Israel are successful at killing every Hamas solider, the rest of the Palestinians will return to nothing. No shelter, no food, nothing.
