You have ships that are willing to sit indefinitely, not being paid, instead of going to unload to the on the east coast. They could be unloaded in 1-2 weeks instead of sitting there for who knows how long.

Because the fuel expenditures wouldn’t be worth it.

Fuel is worth it, the $1 million or so of costs to go through the Panama Canal is not. The fuel is cost is somewhere around $150,000 per day. Plenty of shipping companies were already taking those routes to the east coast and now there have been some delays at east coast ports but not a lot. It's just harder for companies that need a lot of cash to pay for the passage, gas, etc and then wait to be paid. If they are out of cash, they can't do much other than sit. The boats are huge and <$1 million for fuel is nothing, they regularly lose containers and don't even have issues.
Seemed like the best place to post this. I have a client that had Biden stuff implanted in her yard. She obviously has money. Today I’m out and I see a sticker on her car. It said “Make Voting Fair Again”. I’m not familiar with this term or call to action. At face value, I think it’s either pro Trump and referencing the stolen election, or the call to action to have every minority dead or alive to vote democratic as many times as possible. I took it as or Trump. And knowing she’s a democrat, made it even funnier to see that. If I am right, shows just how stupid some people can be.

Democrats get anxious with things like limiting early voting, requiring a photo ID for voting, limiting mail in voting, or limiting the restoration of voting rights for former felons.

I’d say that is one of many things they get anxious about.

Is that sticker supposed to be pro Trump? Or is it a D thing mocking Trump’s “MAGA”?

The latter.

So democrats are more stupid than I give them credit for.  Good to know.  At face value, I would’ve thought it was a pro Trump sticker.  Only asked because this [BLEEP] had Biden signs in her yard less than a year ago.  Thank you for the clarification
Glyphosate her yard

She pays almost 300 a month.  Can’t justify that that yet.  Like where your head is at though.

I’ve thought about “salt bombs” on others property in the past.  But I’m sneaky.  I cover all my bases.  If I were the type to do something, it wouldn’t be lawn related.  And if it was, then it would be thoroughly planned.  Too many cameras to blatantly sabotage a lawn.  And sadly, (I’ll never do it) I have thought of the right way to get back on a client that wouldn’t ever get back to me.  Just my sick mind wandering off trying to fall asleep comes up with more than you know.  That, along with the ample time I have to think about just about anything while on the mower

You’d never know it based of this MB, but I do run a pretty damn good and successful business.  You guys just seem to find my darker side.
So one of my husband's co-workers came into work with sniffles and a bloody nose. The boss asked him what's going on and the guy said he has allergies. The boss man sent him to the company nurse and had him tested for Covid. Even though it came back negative and he has NO symptoms other than sniffles they sent him home until Tuesday. They're forcing him to use his sick leave and miss work for no valid reason.

This BS. It's allergy season in NC and everyone knows it. They can't send everyone home who comes in with runny eyes, sinus congestion and runny nose or there won't be anyone to run the plant.

I can't imagine how this is legal.

Sniffles and a bloody nose = cocaine use.
Maybe the high will wear off by Tuesday.

Not always. From about October-April I have to take Claritin-D for my allergies which dries out my nasals. It's also low humidity and low dewpoint. All of this combined and I get nosebleeds. The sniffles happen when I'm out in the cold. We have humidifiers in all major rooms in our house to help minimize the nosebleeds. They're not minor either. If I blow my nose too hard it gushes like someone punched me.
I remember living up north and the dry conditions would occasionally cause a nosebleed. That and chapped hands like nobodies business. Love it or hate it, I’m glad I don’t have to deal with an arid climate for that alone.

I'd tweak her with something only....... it would really really hurt and she's wouldn't like it very much...........

I make my own hand cream since lotion doesn't last long. I also started using gloves when I wash dishes because that dishwashing liquid dries my hands out so bad.

I prefer the weather here. I hate feeling like I live in a sauna most of the year. We get that here but it's not for nearly as long.
The boogers one can pick in dry conditions are really something special.

Wanna have nice soft conditioned hands? Rub them down with olive oil before you put on your gloves to do dishes. You’ll thank me later! Big Grin

That's a lot of effort to put in a tablet and press a button.
