The Democrats knew that if Joe came out looking and sounding like his usual senile self, it would negatively affect his reelection chances. So they gave him a shot of Hunter’s special formula and passed the word to cheer him on like child at a talent show. That’s why we got a partisan political rally instead of a presidential address.

This goes for television media as well. CNN, FOX, MSNBC, etc., all report the news as if they're in some high school drama class. When they're trying to have a conversation with a guest they devolve into a high school debate class gone wrong. 

Just report the news or tell the story. No need for theatrics. Local news stations aren't as absurd.

All the folks mentioned in the article had important actions and probable motives for those actions that are not mentioned.
Trump and people in his closest orbit (this does not include Meadows and Miller) were talking for days prior about using the Insurrection Act to prevent Congress from certifying the election.
Yes Trump thought they should maybe call up more troops.  He assumed those troops would be loyal to him and help him stay in office.
