They changed State law two or four years ago to say that the governor has to punish mayors and sheriffs who fail to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement.
This is not "breaking" news at all.

And you're also missing the point. At best what you and I do is punditry. The speaker in the OP was talking about journalism, of finding a story, investigating, and reporting it.
We don't do that. We react to the people that do.

I wonder how much it will cost to deport all these illegal aliens. 10 million is a lot of people. Even if it's only a million, that's a lot of people to move. I also wonder how they will figure out who these people are. We can't just arrest everyone who looks Hispanic.

I'm always interested in the nuts and bolts of a grand idea like this. It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out. It won't be easy.

Based on the last 4 years it's likely that there are 10 million already identified illegals here who need to be deported, many of whom just need the ride to the train station. Let's close the border to stop the inflow, deport all those we know about, and then we can worry about the rest!

I don't. I'm just saying, if you want to deport illegals, first you have to identify them. How would we do that? I'm not being negative, I'm just wondering, how do we make this program work?

Already identified? I don't think so. I think they pretty much faded into the woodwork. Blended into to country as best they could. They're mostly hiding.

And as far as just giving them a ride to the train station, they'd get off at the next stop.

I'm not trying to be negative. I'm trying to figure out how this would work. And how much it would cost.
