• NY Mayor Eric Adams arrived with DA Alvin Bragg, unannounced.

• Stephanie, Officer Diller’s widow, confronted them, telling them they need to change the laws/judges are releasing dangerous criminals. They quickly left.

• The family had asked visitors to wait outside while they privately said goodbye, when closing the casket. Gov Hochul came ‘storming in.’
The family told her to leave, that she had ‘Jonathan’s blood on her hands.’

• Both Gov Hochul AND AG Leticia James asked the family if they could speak at Officer Diller’s funeral Sunday. The family refused.

• When President Trump arrived, Officer Diller’s grandmother asked him for a hug, and he happily obliged.

I get that she's a grieving wife but that's really [BLEEP] behavior that should be discouraged.
It's a private event, they shouldn't have invited themselves. If they wanted to show up and make it look like they cared, they could have checked first. Even having the audacity to request to speak at the funeral after they let a +20 arrests with many felonies out on the street.

She should have said yes, let them take the microphone and then beat them each with it. Then say give me my no cash bond. All the cops can then say they didn't see anything and all charges dropped.

By the way, Trump paid off their mortgage. I'm sure that will give you more fire in your loins to hate Trump.

I think the translation was missing the intent. They are going to have to retreat little steps at a time because they only have kids, elderly, and otherwise unfit for military service men left. There won't be any men left except for the elites and/or the ones who fleed.

Fixed the above for you, btw..

Just because she takes policy decisions they disagree with doesn't mean she doesn't care about them as people.

Would you want someone responsible for the death of your spouse attending the funeral? Kathy Hocul is a monster and was simply seeking a photo op.

The officer died of a gunshot wound.  Kathy Hochul didn't pull the trigger.  She didn't tell anyone to pull the trigger.  Your question is invalid.

And again, if you think elected officials are monsters you shouldn't be a cop.

The officer was shot by a criminal who would've been in jail but for Hochul's policies. She enabled the crime and is an accessory to this cop's murder. Then she attempted a PR stunt to boost herself at the expense of the mourning family. Your last sentence isn't worth the dignity of a response.

I hope you are able to someday see the workings of the real world without a personal tragedy.

Maybe none of that is true.

I trust basic dates and facts that anyone can verify.  Hochul was lieutenant governor when bail reform passed 2019.  And now she's governor and says they went to far with it.  She may not be sincere but the story is at least plausible.

And hey, if some of the family members did say it was OK for her to come, and just one or two decided to make a scene after she got there, then me criticizing their behavior is also kind of moot. Everyone gets to calm down and go back to their corner.

I haven't really paid too much attention to this guy, but I will say that my [BLEEP] alarm is going off.  If someone is getting away with something, why would they brag about it on social media and risk a crack down?   Is he to be taken at face value in your opinion?

Ding ding ding.
He would rather trust his MSM headliner than what the actually family of the officer said hahahahaha

Families have multiple members who don't always see eye to eye.

You show me one family member that welcomed that piece of [BLEEP] sub-human at that officer's funeral..

I don't know that there was one.  And with how it ended there probably won't be a family member admitting it.  I'd certainly avoid airing my family's dirty laundry in public, even if I agreed with the politicians that might be helped by that.

If her husband really hates Democrats so much that he would have wanted them kicked out of his funeral, he shouldn't have been a cop in a city that is more than 2/3 Democrats, ipso facto.  In fact the proportion doesn't matter.  In every part of the country there is a significant number of Democrats.  If you hate them, you are not called to protect and serve them.

Comments like this show the type of person you are and that's someone who would never consider another person before yourself.

There are plenty of types of people in this country our Armed Forces don't like yet they still take the oath to protect them against all enemies both foreign and domestic. Law enforcement, firefighters and other public safety officers aren't any different.

We did/do it for many reasons, but few of us ever made the decision based on whether we like or dislike certain people. Yes, there are people who do make that choice and abuse their power but their numbers pale in comparison.

First of all, thank you for your service.
Imagine your own funeral, suppose it was big and open to the public.  You probably don't want that, but suppose for whatever reason it was. Is there a group of people in this country that you would want your spouse to prevent from attending?
I definitely wouldn't want the people responsible for my spouse's death, attending their funeral..
