How many guns were the 576 members of the French National Assembly carrying with them to the tennis court?

So you're just gonna go whataboutism on me? Damn bro.

Just wait until he gets warmed up.. This dude will pull some obscure NPR blog or article out of his [BLEEP] while reciting some wiki entry that he probably wrote himself.

That dude's his own best friend and worst enemy at the same time.

Are you a sans-culotte? Do you defend the interests of the 18th century French urban class? Then no, it's not whataboutism. I'm not trying to say "your side is just as bad as my side." I'm trying to teach you history.  You can learn it or not.

Damn bro.. You're incredibly condescending.

You think I don't know history? Based on what?

You're not used to being called out on being a pseudo intellectual are you?
Nah. I do it all the time. He's numb to it.

Narcissistic people usually are.

I mean I'm 100% a Narcissist but I can at least admit it.

I would think you don't know history based on your statement that insurrections require guns. There are examples in history where insurrectionists did not have guns and still won.

I would say you are gullible based on the fact that you think none of the insurrectionists on January 6th had guns.  One of them was literally convicted in federal court of carrying a gun on the grounds.  It is beyond gullible to imagine he was the only one.

But you probably know just as much history as me or anyone else, and you certainly aren't gullible in other areas of life, it's just that you have some sort of soft spot for or identity with Trump so you are more comfortable using motivated reasoning to ignore facts you don't like and reach illogical conclusions with the facts you do accept.

Dude, these cases are whack, and you would realize that if you didn't have your head shoved so far up corporate media's butt. I know of two such cases. One in which a man told his son he was armed, and that was the evidence used to convict him (hearsay), and the other of a dude who had a 9mm on his pocket, did not enter the building, but was on capitol grounds, and was charged with assault for using a wooden pallet as a makeshift battering ram to move police who were gassing him.

Regardless, even if they did have guns they didn't use them, you twit. Plenty of reason to use them if they were really trying to stage an insurrection. They literally just went home. Joe Biden literally bragged about how many of these people got convicted and sentenced for attending. Numbers that don't even make sense. For non-violent offenses. The guy who was actually inciting a riot got no time in jail, and you have the nerve to call someone else gullible? Sure thing, pal.

In your stupid historic example of non-violent insurrections, did the people just go home afterward? That seems like it wouldn't work. Please elaborate.

Regardless of what weapons were used, was there violence?

How long did they stay? When did they go home? Why did they go home?  What might have happened next if they had stayed longer?
You got me. They just wanted the 6-hour revolution. You know... like whatever cherry-picked historical example you gave where the people showed up with wood pallets and took over the government in 6 hours, then gave it back to the establishment and got arrested. You're so good at this.

You know damn well when they went home and why they waited that long.

That's not an insurrection. Insurrectionists have a goal of overthrowing the government. Anyone who thinks that that was a planned insurrection is [BLEEP] stupid. Period. The most armed populace in America, goes to the Capitol building, a couple hundred of them choose to push and shove police, break a few windows, then go home WITHOUT ever brandishing weapons or making any demands. They just left. One of them was shot when they tried to enter a place they couldn't go. The rest were ushered in by police, took a stroll around the Capitol building, went home at dark, never came back, and were systemically arrested. Good thing these simpletons were MAGA folks, otherwise they'd know they didn't accomplish their goal and keep fighting.

Or, maybe... just maybe, that wasn't their goal. I mean, I know that's not what your told, but how hard is it to realize that's a completely improbable scenario if people really wanted TO OVERTHROW THE GOVERNMENT.

MOST of the people there that day wanted to make their voices heard. They did that. Then they got arrested. Over 1200 people have been charged in "one of the largest and most complex and resource-intensive investigations in our history," according to Merrick Garland. Gotta make an example of these folks and trot it out so the real simpletons in this country, the misinformed moderates, can continue to feel cozy as our resources, labor, and opportunities are plundered.

Maybe... just maybe, a government that has been built to protect the corrupt just wants to make an example of the disenfranchised right.... a right that doesn't want to lay down and accept changes that curtail liberty.

I'm sure you're smart enough to go back to what I wrote here about immigration last week and figure it out.

But back on subject.  When did the January 6 protestors/ insurrectionists leave and why was it not before or after?

So why not just give us an update on what you think of your boy, Mitch?

And anyhow what I said way back when was that I usually don't post if I agree with what is already being said. I usually post when I disagree. But I don't just disagree for the sake of disagreeing.
