It's related to the stupid gala she went to and wore the tax dress. She didn't pay for the ticket, then got another ticket for her boyfriend which isn't allowed. The dress also wasn't paid for, even if she didn't keep it, and it cost money to design and make for her. So she can't pay the $35,000 for the ticket as she says she's poor, so did she not pay it or use campaign funds to do it?
This is really nothing. Most of Congress has violations and then they either pay the money back or pay a fine and nothing happens.
Look at One eyed McCain in Texas that got close to $200,000 in illegal donations and was fined around $50,000. There wasn't a pay back the money plus the fine, it was keep the money just pay the fine.
