Hunter Biden will be pleading GUILTY to federal tax crimes today, including multiple felonies
He faces up to 17 years in prison.
BUT he knows daddy will pardon him on his way out the door, so what’s it matter?
Judge needs to delay sentencing until after Jan '25. That way he isn't convicted yet and can't be pardoned.

A conviction isn't necessary for presidential pardon.
Remember Ford pardoned Nixon and Nixon had not been convicted of anything.

We live at a dangerous time in the world today. While we are focusing on what is happening in the USA the entire world is surrendering freedoms. JK Rowlings would be considered a liberal by most accounts and even she has come out against this.
I am happy that I am in my 60’s and will not have to navigate this new paradigm but I weep for those that I leave behind.

I agree, but we have to preserve. They consumed. We have to course correct. Our rights need to be vehemently defended. We can't let them erode. The constitution is a shell of its former self. The bill of rights has to stay strong. Every person who has ever lived was able to "adapt." That's not the gold standard. If we can't protect it, our kids aren't going to have it.
Whether you guys want to acknowledge it or not, there is a global government that is being formed and it doesn't care about our rights. It doesn't care about us. It simply wants to make sure we don't get in their way.

That's all well and fine. However, nobody cares. Especially the people who created this mess. This is now the global equivalent of taking care of your parents (or grandparents, my parents are from Generation X). They continue to [BLEEP] themselves, but, we have to help clean up after them. It is what it is. Playing the victim is weak. We have to fix this. It starts at home. It starts by getting involved politically, especially on a local level. Even if you HATE the big stage politics or refuse to believe in it or buy into it?
At least get involved locally so it doesn't effect your children's schools, local community, etc. Freedom of speech should be protected. Not demonized, nor threatened with jail time. Especially when the double standards and hypocrisy are running rampant at an all time high. You can get seven years now for calling a they/them or she/her a he/him, yet, there's people getting into countries illegally, getting arrested and released for repeat offenses in short order, and thus, proceeding to cause permanent damage to somebody and their family via rape or murder.
How long do we need to keep walking down this road before we see where it leads?
