The phrase bubbled up during President Donald Trump's first administration and is a tongue-in-cheek way of referring to a condition allegedly suffered by those who would automatically oppose Trump's every action. The airplane should be given to the US for the use of any President, not just Trump.
Once the US chooses to retire the airplane, then the US at its discretion could donate that airplane to the Trump library. But it would only make sense to do that after a newer and better airplane for the President is online. And a backup too.
The comparisons are spot on and all of them are inappropriate gifts IMO. Every one of them reeks of influence peddling.

I have little doubt that consumer and industrial equipment is replete with this stuff. Even some of the electronics used in defense gear is bought from China. It boggles the mind. But we continue to stupidly purchase from them while undermining our own manufacturing base.
