The guy who brought it in wanted a Republican to be President.
No one else who was protesting stopped him.

I agree. 

I've never understood why being gay has to be celebrated. Nobody cares what adults do in their house. Maybe that's the problem. We're going to be forced to care by the nut jobs because they need to be seen. All the while the run of the mill gays and lesbians are just living life and thankful they have rights they didn't have even 2 decades ago.

This couldn't be more accurate.  I don't care what other adults do in their personal lives, but publicly celebrating the ever-expanding gender alphabet isn't an act of inclusion, it's a craving for attention.  I don't feel any need to march the streets with my wife, waving a banner proclaiming our heterosexuality.

In pursuit of true equality, shouldn't we also have a straight pride month?

I can't help but chuckle every time I remember that Perverse Alternative Lifestyle Celebration Month is also Men's Mental Health Month. The two are inextricably related but the irony is quite thick.
