It’s true. When I got home from work I read a couple of articles which stated the crowd was jeering and hostile to Trump.

That wasn’t the case at all. If only they had more print space to tell all of the facts rather than just the ‘facts’ which align with their biased worldview.

Key passage:

"In recent years MAGA has become more trashy, attracting a lot of low IQ, conspiratorial people. They are less likely to vote or volunteer for his campaign, and many Trump voters generally are demoralised by their belief that the 2020 election was rigged. If they are not demoralised, they are generally dismissive of Kamala’s chances in a way they weren’t of Hillary or Biden, as I have discovered discussing this."

It's like he's been reading this message board!

Thanks for giving me a good laugh! While I rarely post anything in the political section of Duval Pride, I couldn't resist after reading your post. People will point to today as the day Donald Trump lost the election. Any independent or battleground state voters who are not racist will find it impossible to vote for Trump following today's debacle. Vance's crazy comments the other day insulting women without children had already hurt Trump's chances and today made things much worse.

The election was Trump's to lose following Biden's horrible debate performance. His decision to step down would have not been enough for the Democrats to win since Harris was an unpopular V.P. who was rarely given the spotlight. All he had to do was select a decent V.P. and refrain from making stupid comments which insult the majority of voters. He failed on both counts! The Republican ticket has lost thousands of previously undecided women and people of color and there is nothing they can do win them back.

All the Republicans had to do to take back the White House was get rid of Trump and nominate someone with solid conservative values that this party is proud of. Instead, the cowards on Capital Hill (Graham, Cruz, McConnell,Johnson,  etc.) got behind the man they had previously expressed contempt for. They just didn't have it in them to do what Liz Cheney, Adam Kensinger and very few others did which was to basically give up the power and perks they had grown accustomed to. These sycophants will come to regret their total lack of integrity and will be treated very unkindly by historians in the future.

I'm curious what was a debacle about today. The debacle you speak of feels pretty one sided on social media. What exactly did Trump do to hurt himself in swing states?

I guarantee some of these posters in this thread have been knee deep watching the msnbc far left programming. I bet some believe the view is fair and balance programming. The same taking points over and over.

Trump could not hide his contempt for Black people. Watch it and tell me that this is not true. I have enough faith in the American people that they do not want to re-elect a person with his views. As I said before, the Republicans had an opportunity to nominate a candidate without Trump's personal flaws. Glenn Youngkin and Nikki Haley are 2 examples of Republicans who would have likely easily defeated Biden or Harris.

Do you understand how many black people the Trump organization employs? Even the golf caddy on his bag giving him reads on the green in his Break 50 with Bryson was black for crying out loud.

Contempt for black people? Not even close. You don't like the man, I get it, but come on.

He treated that first journalist to ask him a question the same way he treated Megyn Kelly in 2015.  It's not about race.  It's about refusing to be held accountable for anything he says, and trying to distract the audience by attacking the person who brings it up instead of answering the question.  In 2015, no one in politics was prepared for that song and dance.  It was surprising, outrageous. And it worked.  Does it still work? Wait and see.

Having a black employee does not excuse racism, not even close.  If Trump was racist, the black caddy would prove nothing.

But we can't really answer if Trump is racist unless we agree on what racism is.  Some people say it's nothing more than feelings a person has in their heart.  If that's the definition, no one can prove it about anybody.

I'm sorry the extremely hostile, vile fake news ""journalist" who was 35 mins late being stood up to by Trump hurt your feelings and made you think he was a racist.
Everybody's a little racist, it's typically brought on by an inconvenience or a situation that elevates someone's anxiety.

The question is, do you internalize it and manage it alone, or, do you externalize it and manage to get yourself into a world of [BLEEP].

No one is perfect. Let's be real here. This applies to every race. Somebody cuts you off in traffic, somebody jumps you, maybe makes a remark towards your wife, daughter or girlfriend.

[BLEEP] can happen. I won't sit here though and pretend like I know or don't know if somebody is racist or not. I do know though, that, we certainly would like to think, feel and believe that political figures are pure and devoid of hatred, bigotry and racism.

That's childish in thinking though. I think both parties are guilty of it. The left has done a good job creating a generation of self hating white people and essentially making it seem like black people can't get ahead without them because they're incapable or incompetent.

The right has clearly had it's fair share of [BLEEP] idiots that come up from out of some backwater [BLEEP] hole or holler that nobody's heard of where there's probably no black folks to begin with.

So, it goes both ways. We all pretty much suck as a species as far as I am concerned. Regardless of your skin color. I think there's a lot of mental weakness in getting swept up in that.

Thinking your race is superior or demonizing one race is just another classic, failed and neverending story of our "humanity".

We are not going to agree on how Donald Trump feels about black people. You are absolutely right that I strongly dislike Trump. I could make a very long list of the reasons that I dislike him and my guess is that you would disagree. Despite that, I respect your opinion. On November 5, we will see whether my prediction will come true. If Trump wins, I will admit that I was wrong and go on with my life.

I respect your reasons for disliking him as well. However, I despise Nikki Haley as much as you dislike Trump because I believe she would engage in endless wars to keep her lobbyists fat and happy and send my children to die and not lose a minute of sleep over it. The eyes don't lie, and she doesn't have kind ones.

Hate to break it to you, but, we're warming up with Iran and it looks like both parties are eager for it and calling for it publicly.

Lots of pressure on Trump or Harris once they get into office. My hope, would be, Trump gets in, he manages to broker peace with Ukraine and Russia.

Maybe gets into a chicken [BLEEP] contest with Iran in a few isolated areas with some love taps exchanged and that ends the narrative. He figures something out with Israel.

But, my gut is telling me not to get my hopes up. Biggest reason is because the narrative has already been caked on rather thick, and, we know we should be on alert now for a coordinated terrorist attack on our soil.

We already know threats from the middle east have made it through Eagle Pass or Mexico into Texas at the minimum. It's inevitable now.

I don't like Haley either! My point was that I believe she and Youngkin would both have beaten Harris. Of course, we will never know the answer to that question.
