Joe Biden Comparing Maui Fires to Almost Losing His Corvette Sparks Fury

Edit: I really like Newsweeks attempt at deflecting Biden’s callousness. This story could have been written by his own campaign staff. Wait, it was.
Hilary made landfall in California and destroyed 30,000 emails.

Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk.

People demanded he show up. What did they expect?

I’m sure he just considers it collateral damage. He’ll probably try to blame it on Ukraine anyway.
I tuned into the Republican debate and the first person to talk was DeSantis who immediately began sloganeering. Just as I thought, it's not really going to be a debate, only a bunch of electioneering soundbites. And it was, but not for long. Chris Christie started throwing down and now it's tuned into a fairly intense exchange. I'll keep watching for now.

Christie is going to turn over local law enforcement to the Federal Government. That will end well.

Is there any news/broadcast company that understands what a true debate really is?

Trump and the indictments coming up next, get your popcorn ready.

The bifurcation of the media had killed debate. Now the networks put on a panel of the candidates which suit their stripe and then toss softballs to them.
Ramaswamy wants to use the military to defend the southern border!

Is that a bad thing?  Using our military to defend our borders?

It’s not a good thing and possibly violates the Posse Comitatus Act. Deploying military forces on domestic soil should not be a capricious decision and ideally should never happen.

This is a law enforcement issue and could be handled by them if given adequate resources and support from leadership, which we all know is not the current tact of this administration. They would rather have an IRS agent up everyone’s [BLEEP].

But no worries. We have a cackling idiot assigned as the “Border Czar” who is actively seeking the root causes of our border problems. No, really. Stop laughing. I’m being serious. Stop!
Mick Jagger is 80. Mitch McConnell is 81. The benefits of a life of sex, drugs, and rock-'n'-roll should not be ignored

It's for local and state law enforcement to deal with, not the military. Could you imagine the [BLEEP] storm that would cause? The precedent it would set? No thank you.

I tuned in during that discussion, but my take was that he wanted to treat the Cartel like terrorist organizations, which means using the military in countries that harbor them. Mexico really doesn't have a leg to stand on here. They are killing Americans. They gotta go.
Trump looks like an annoyed old man. I was thinking he would flash a big smile.

He is an annoyed old man.  I was more expecting him to flash the finger.
Jenna Ellis was laughing her you know what off in her mug shot.

I'm coming around to that position.  We didn't notify Pakistan before taking out bin Ladin.  Pakistan was mad about it but ultimately did nothing to retaliate.
The problem with notifying Mexico of our plans would be that quite a few Mexican diplomats and generals are in bed with the cartels.
That said, this strategy should be used only sparingly, for the worst of the worst only, and only when we think we can seize and destroy the assets along with the criminals.
