Not everything is partisan politics, man.
She was lieutenant governor when the policy was enacted.  She didn't vote in the legislature and she didn't sign it.  And maybe that policy isn't the main reason that guy was on the street that day.

There are plenty of types of people in this country our Armed Forces don't like yet they still take the oath to protect them against all enemies both foreign and domestic. Law enforcement, firefighters and other public safety officers aren't any different. 

We did/do it for many reasons, but few of us ever made the decision based on whether we like or dislike certain people. Yes, there are people who do make that choice and abuse their power but their numbers pale in comparison.

Imagine your own funeral, suppose it was big and open to the public.  You probably don't want that, but suppose for whatever reason it was. Is there a group of people in this country that you would want your spouse to prevent from attending?

I'll be dead so I won't care and I really mean that. If I were to be murdered I'm pretty sure my husband and our families wouldn't want anyone in any way responsible for it at my funeral be it a drunk driver, a mass shooting, or a politician whose policies allow a repeat offender to roam the streets, free to do his worst. Between our two families lies the spectrum of liberals to conservatives so that locks everyone down.

Funerals are really about those left behind because the dead are....dead. They don't know what's going on. In just about every situation the family has every right to decide who shows up and if it's someone they don't want to be there, they have every right to turn them away. Period. 

The fact that you don't see Hochul's actions as inconsiderate also exposes the kind of person you are. The policies in place allowed this officer's death. If she was so concerned about them she should have changed them by now. She's had time. Stop excusing her behavior.

Everyone should assume their identity is stolen at this point. Most credit cards or banks allow you to setup alerts for any credit changes for free. Other than that, everyone should probably just lock your credit report and only unlock as needed.
