That's just the thing about a situation like that. Do you really take that kind of a chance on a gut feeling of it being a setup? I know there's heavy propaganda just flowing through msm right now, but when kids are involved, investigations must be done immediately, setup or not.

A lot of the pictures/videos aren't current and some may not even be from the area. You have 2 sides that are very adept at PR and spamming social media to push their narratives.
The timing of this is very convenient for so many things. The intelligence lapses are also pretty bad and makes it seem like this was potentially allowed to happen.
You have liberals gaining power and now they have to reverse that and come together to support the war.
You have Ukraine funding ending, so they need a new war and money launder.
You have lots of issues in Congress that are now put on hold.
None of the Biden corruption will be in the news.
The border issue is dead news now.
This could even reach the US if all out war is declared and the US enters it. There are too many military aged men that have been let in the US that may try to do something locally.
All the info so far, just seems like this was allowed to happen to be used as an excuse to crush them and level the place.
If troops are going to cross territory lines, they might as well just level the place. If they don't, they will face the same issues Russia has faced by just not destroying the buildings. It's hard to clear a bunch of buildings. It's not like they will create more terrorists as they are already raised to hate them.

The nice thing about America is you can walk down the street saying you support a two state solution, or the elimination of Palestine, or the elimination of Israel. Most days you can do that in Israel too. Though probably not today.
This is because we have our own money, and our own resources. We are independent as a country and our opinions can be freely expressed. Same in Israel.
In the West Bank, you have to be in favor of a Two state solution. If you would rather stop fighting and ask for Israeli citizenship, you will be silenced. If you want to fight to eliminate Israel, you'd better not talk about it. This is because the people in the West Bank have no money and no resources and their government is bought and paid for by the US and EU so they enforce that party line.
In the Gaza Strip, you have to be in favor of fighting for the complete elimination of Israel, for all of it to become Palestine. This is because the people in the Gaza Strip have no money and no resources and their government (Hamas) is funded by Iran. So they enforce the Iranian party line.
In both cases the Palestinians in 2023 are simply fodder in someone else's geopolitical game and their opinion doesn't matter.
But before you feel too bad for them, remember that they were given an opportunity for a free and fair election in 2005 and they chose Hamas. Not all of them, of course, but a majority.
